Massimo Baù, Ph.D.
Advisor
Massimo is an experienced family business educator and advisor who brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the fields of family business and entrepreneurship. Through his role as the Director of the Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership (CeFEO) at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) in Sweden, Massimo is actively involved in academic and professional circles, sharing his insights through research, teaching, and advisory roles. He serves as the Research Director and a board member of the International Family Enterprise Research Academy (IFERA), a Fellow of the Family Firms Institute (FFI), and a Babson Fellow in Entrepreneurship Education. Massimo also co-founded the European Family Business Centers (EuFBC) Network. His professional designations include the certificates in Family Business Advising (CFBA), Advanced Family Business Advising (ACFBA), and Family Wealth Advising (CFWA) from the FFI.
In addition to his research focusing on family entrepreneurship, Massimo is deeply involved in designing educational curricula for family business owners and management. In designing these customized educational programs, he frequently relies on a wide variety of tools in the area of Design Thinking and Creativity, for example, the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology, for which he is a Certified Trained Facilitator.
Massimo also contributes to broader discussions on sustainable business and climate action. He is a member of the Academic Advisory Board of the Board Impact Forum, and the Nordic chapter of the Climate Governance Initiative, collaborating with the World Economic Forum to engage board directors in sustainable practices.
